UNAH Faculty of Civil Engineering Launches Construction of the Museum of the History of the Adventist Church in Haiti

Fournier, August 7, 2026 — As part of the Impact UNAH 2026 mission, the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Adventist University of Haiti (UNAH) officially launched the construction of the Museum of the History of the Adventist Church in Haiti in Fournier, a locality in the municipality of Grande-Rivière-du-Nord.

This heritage project aims to preserve, document, and promote the history of the Adventist Church in Haiti, with particular emphasis on the places and events that shaped its early development in the country.

The future museum will serve as a dedicated space for preserving and transmitting the Adventist heritage. It will provide younger generations with an opportunity to discover their roots, gain a deeper understanding of the development of the Adventist Church in Haiti, and appreciate the historical significance of Fournier and Bethany Church, which are closely connected to the early history of Adventism in the country.

Through its technical expertise and professional skills, UNAH’s Faculty of Civil Engineering is making a concrete contribution to the realization of this important heritage project. Its involvement reflects the university’s commitment to using its expertise in service of the community and supporting initiatives that contribute to the preservation of Haiti’s religious and cultural heritage.

The launch of the construction work is fully aligned with the vision of Impact UNAH 2026, which extends beyond evangelism, education, and community service to include the preservation and transmission of Haiti’s Adventist heritage.

Once completed, the museum is expected to become an important place of memory, discovery, and education, enabling visitors to learn more about the history of Adventism in Haiti and the contributions of its pioneers.

Construction will continue over the coming months, and updates on the progress of this historic project will be shared as the work advances.
